PROJECT: MATH FACT ATTACK!

Solo project by: Laura Frampton.

MATH FACT ATTACK! is a 2d, single-player, competitive, slider-style game for children in grades 1 to 4. Students can actually have fun learning math facts by playing Math Fact Attack! Players can choose to be customizable characters: Scuba Stan, Scuba Steph, or a cute Seal. They swim through the water trying to avoid the shark. Each response either feeds or repels the shark! They have 1.5 minutes to complete a level consisting of 50 random math fact questions as set by their chosen level. Goodbye stressful and boring worksheets! Goodbye manual timers! Math Fact Attack is the NEW Minute Math approach to engage your students in a FUN way! Ready, set, learn!

The goal of Math Fact Attack is to create a fun, engaging way for students to participate in minute math exercises. Repetition and memorization have been proven successful models for early elementary education; example sight words for reading and math exercises (expressly minute math worksheets). This game emphasizes a timed approach yet is expressed in a fun and creative way. Using this game, teachers and students can bid farewell to boring worksheets!
